Advanced staking

The main recommendation for the highest APY rate is to do ladder staking. Instead of having one large stake for 5 year you may consider split it into 5 smaller stakes locked up for 1-2-3-4-5 years.

For example, how I would split my stakes. Lets say I have 1,000,000 DEFT and I want to stake for 5 years. Because I don't want to scrape my interest which will reduce my APY to the minimal 10%, It is better I do the following stake ladder:

1. 200,000 DEFT will be staked for 365 days (1 year)

2. 200,000 DEFT will be staked for 730 days (2 years)

3. 200,000 DEFT will be staked for 1095 days (3 years)

4. 200,000 DEFT will be staked for 1460 days (4 years)

5. 200,000 DEFT will be staked for 1825 days (5 years)

Such staking distribution over time allows me to be more flexible. After first year I will be getting back 200,000 DEFT (principal) + 20,000 DEFT (interest). I could sell only interest and restake the principal for 5 years or if I really need money I could sell both principal and interest.

Monthly stakes for 1 year

More advanced example is to stake every month. For example, I have 1,200,000 DEFT and I want to stake for 1 year. I would do the following stake ladder:

1. 100,000 DEFT will be staked for 30 days (1 month)

2. 100,000 DEFT will be staked for 60 days (2 month)

3. ...

4. 100,000 DEFT will be staked for 330 days (11 months)

5. 100,000 DEFT will be staked for 360 days (12 months)

This allows you to have so called 'crypto salary' or 'crypto dividends' you name it. Every month you keep the interest and restake your principal for 12 months.

Monthly stakes for 10 years

This is the best staking ladder in my opinion and that is how I will be staking my DEFT. So lets say I have 1,200,000 DEFT, I split it into 120 pieces 10,000 DEFT each

After that I create 120 stakes:

1. 10,000 DEFT will be staked for 30 days (1 month)

2. 10,000 DEFT will be staked for 60 days (1 month)

3. ...

4. 10,000 DEFT will be staked for 3570 days (119 months or 9 years 11 months)

5. 10,000 DEFT will be staked for 3600 days (120 months or 10 years)

Each month when my stake ends I will use the interest for my life needs and restake the principal for 10 years. This creates me dividends for the rest of my life and also allows me to feed my family in bad times.
